Mr. Chaiya Auppala the Village Headman, owner of 1-unit SK50P-6 @ Surat Thani province, Thailand

Surat Thani is a province, located in southern Thailand, which most of the land is covered with rubber tree plantation, the area's 'Cash Crops'. Anyway, due to a fluctuation in agricultural prices, some locals have changed from their former use of land to others.

Mr. Chiya Auppala is a village headman of, around 4,000 headcounts, medium size community and a head of family of five. He is too, has alter his land from rubber to Durian. Before process of Durian planting, excavator is needed for making a hump for each tree to prevent root from rotten. In the area of 24,000 m2 which he owns, hiring for piping and making the hump will cost more or less 100 thousand THB so he decided to buy one instead.

After done prepare the site for his Durian farm, he started a hiring business. The business is going on well in dry season. Still, a job like canal dredging could be assigned in rainy season as well. "The wage for hiring is worth, it is able to cover monthly installment and can become an extra income," says Mr. Chaiya Auppala.

"Actually, my youngest son is the one who inspired me to buy this one (SK50P-6), definitely better than buy a new car, it is what you can earn form," continues Mr. Chaiya Auppala. "Sometimes on the way back after work at the remote job site of the area, we help clean up the canal and do some landscaping. This is to support our community too."

At first, he had decided between another brand of mini excavator and Kobelco but eventually chose Kobelco because Ariya Equipment Co., Ltd., our dealer, has more branches so he believes that it is more reliable.

In term of service, before he bought the excavator, he asked others about parts, maintenances and after sale services, he received lots of good words of Ariya Equipment Co., Ltd., our dealer, and after used it for some times (8 months), it is as others say, parts, maintenances and after sales services are all good. "We once had a problem because of using the wrong oil, that makes engine start poorly," continues the village headman. "We just have to call and Ariya will come in no time. They fix, they give advice and everything is back to normal."

Even less than a year, Kobelco has assured its reputation "Kobelco is indeed save more fuel!" says the headman. "And with the mini size of SK50P-6, we can work in various of job sites as canal dredging, piping and narrow area around houses."

In the future, to be able to handle heavier job like tree root plucking, he has a plan to get more Kobelco.
