Mr. Songmit Seanwan, the owner of 4-unit Kobelco @ Chumphon province, Thailand

From Father to son, from second-hand to brand new, prefer only Kobelco.

Addressed in Chumphon, southern Thailand. From bird's-eye view, the land is distantly spread over with, star-like, small green dots lie orderly in countless lines. Palm tree plantations officially are general business in the area. Numbers of excavating jobs are operated here, in the soil of this tropical region.

Mr. Songmit Seanwan currently owns 4 Kobelcos, 2-unit SK200-8, 1-unit SK140LC-8 and the latest, his first mini, the SK50P-6. His business used to operate with second-hand excavators from SK200-3 to SK200-6 but now shift to all first-hand. “Resell situation is also saleable and has a good price,” he says. “We would use the excavators in a decent amount of time, more or less 8,000 hours, then sell and replace them with new one.”

Since his father, the business has been running for more than 20 years using only Kobelco. He is a successor, 2nd generation, of the family business providing general contractor services such as dig a ditch/a trench in Palm oil/Durian plantation, leveling the land and doing a small home renovation, which he calls them a “folk work”. Most of his excavators use normal bucket but sometimes change to sharpened bucket for palm oil tree slicing, suiting the area popular job sites.

Keynote of him keeps buying Kobelco is it saves more fuel; this is the heart of his business. As he says, Kobelco can work quickly, suitable for working in the area, barely have any issue and can use continuously for 8 to 10 hours without breakdown. Kobelco’s authorized dealer in Thailand, Ariya Equipment co., ltd., also has superb services, if there’s any problem with the machine, just calls, Ariya’ will come. As well as parts, just call, order and they will deliver in no time. Machines are easy to take care of since Ariya’ will come to look after when it’s scheduled for PM.

In addition, reasons why he chooses the SK50P-6 to be his first mini excavator are, nowadays, he got assigned with smaller projects like home renovation and small canal making in the plantation. Another reason is that smaller excavators are needed for those jobs that come after the bigger machines had done their duty and they cannot access the area anymore because of their sizes. “Customers also ask for the small one (mini excavator).” says Mr. Songmit Seanwan.

“Price is, of course, a part of decision making,” continues Mr. Songmit Seanwan. “But excavator is bought for work, as long as it can cover its monthly installment and able to generate benefits, it’s worth buying”. He also states that whether the new excavator is needed, he will definitely consider Kobelco as his no.1 choice and will encourage others to get Kobelco as well.

From his perspective, Kobelco is the best among all brands, all good as it is, nothing to amend, improve or alter, everything is just perfect for all kind of jobs that his customers would ask from him.
