From hearty welcome of the dealer, Kobelco became his first new excavator.

Mr. Don Titawattanasakul is a cofounder of sand quarry and machinery rental company. The companies started from contractor, trailer truck business and land leveling. Presently, his company owns more than 300 acres in Ayutthaya province (Central region of Thailand) for sand quarry and more than ten excavators for rental in concrete plants of one of the most reputable company in Thailand.

The businesses began earlier than 1995 and Kobelco has entered to the business since 2011, about a decade prior. Mr. Don said that at first, many years ago, he had wanted an American brand to be his first new excavator because of its reputation, ‘The best in the world’. Even though many people in the business complain that the brand could use more fuel, but “I don’t really mind if it would use more fuel, as long as it can work worthy, it is alright” Mr. Don said.

However, He was more impressed by warm welcome of Kobelco’s local dealer in Thailand, Ariya Equipment co., ltd., so he decided to go with Kobelco instead. Twenty-tons Kobelco, the SK200-8, was what he chose. Even with on fuel consumption concerns, the hearty reception of our dealer makes Kobelco wins Mr. Don heart against the brand that come with a tag of ‘The best in the world’.

Sight of dozens of excavators on the field is such a fascinated view to see. The blue-green spots scatter around the place, moving and working with their utmost effort. For Mr. Don, Kobelco can work best in the light application such as sand or not tough soil quarry. Although, he is not worry about fuel saving, Kobelco is able to defined as a fuel saver. “Kobelco is fuel saving and faster,” continues Mr. Don. “PM maintenance is good, machine durability is also good due to the ‘Japan quality’, of course.”

Mr. Don also mentioned about KOMEXS - Kobelco Monitoring Excavation System, “The system is very useful for us”, continues the owner “We don’t have much experiences in operating the machine ourselves that we can spot differences. Besides that, when machines are located in remote areas, we can always look into in system to see statistics of those machines which show us location, oil level, idle time and etc.”

He is now satisfied with all abilities that Kobelco have. However, he believes that Kobelco will carry on developing its expertness to meet more of customer needs in the future.
